Lucky Mrs Brown

I am still on a high from the Royal Wedding gorgeousness so to get some flowers today from a gorgeous family is just bringing too much joy!  Lucky Me!

Book Character Parade

Rey from Star Wars and one of the crayons from The Day The Crayons Quit.

…and one blast from the past… Dorothy from Oz and Spiderwoman…

…and a few from the teachers. The intermediate team were characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The junior team stole the show I think thanks to some generous parents letting us borrow their outfits from the quiz night fundraiser last year.  From the book, The Day The Crayons Quit.

The Royal Wedding

It might be our big day tomorrow with our Book Character Parade around the Mt Eden village, but we can’t forget the royal wedding on Saturday.  I confess I am a major royalist and the last time we were in Windsor we looked like this.  Wish we were back there for the big day on Saturday.

Making Play Dough

A lucky group got to make some playdough during maths.  There was lots of measurement language. Another group did a worksheet counting backwards from different numbers.  Thanks for your help Talia!

Teacher Helper For The Afternoon

Welcome beautiful Talia, (Jake’s sister).  She is helping us this afternoon as her intermediate had a half day.  Lucky us!!!!  She is doing some Room 5 teaching.

Wow Words In Writing Today

Our WALHT today was ‘using wow words’.  WALHT stands for…We Are Learning How To…   You will see this used a lot in schools.  It is so children know the learning intention/goal for the lesson.

Sharing Today

Thank you Catherine for sharing your autumn leaves – they were beautiful.  Thank you Tselmeg for sharing your brochures.  I shared my childhood teddy bear.  His name is Dribble.
