Finn has really taken Gabriel ‘under his wing’ and being a lovely big buddy to him. Such kindness. It is everything we promote in Room 5 – leadership and looking after each other.
Paddington Bear Is Back
Paddington had a wonderful weekend with Avery!
Busy Little Reading Children Today
Nadia and Vanessa are doing a duck project after reading a book about ducks. They even did some research on the internet and are now putting together a poster to share with the class.
While the children wait to read with the teacher they do different literacy activities around the classroom.
Hope You Had A Lovely Weekend
Hope you had a lovely weekend. Olivia’s laser tag party was a huge success, I think Mr Brown ended up being the happiest commando combat player at the party! Big kids and little kids really harnessed their inner Star Wars rebel alliance vibe. Great fun.
Cross Country
Didn’t they do well!!! It is a lot of pressure and lots of hustle and bustle to get use to. Well done to the Room 5 little people. Your first cross country is a big achievement! I couldn’t be more proud of everyone.
Colourful Rockets To Match Colourful Day
A Pop Of Colourful Children Today
We did some Cosmic Kids yoga – namasta.
Some cute Hillary bunnies!
We Have Olivia’s 12th Birthday Party This Weekend
We have Olivia’s 12th birthday party on Sunday. We are entertaining 12 competitive twelve year olds who will be harnessing their inner ninja at Laser Tag.
Children grow up so fast! I loved this little verse I saw yesterday – so funny and so true.
My girls were little once too.
Fingers Crossed For Cross Country Today!
All the teachers are allocated a school house to be in, along with the children. Guess which house I am in? Families/siblings are always in the same house, so Georgia and Olivia were/are in Te Kanawa (red) with me. Fingers crossed for cross country today! The four houses are Sheppard (yellow), Hillary (blue), Snell (green) and Te Kanawa (red).
Digital Sharing Of Work – Seesaw App
Next term I will be sharing with you an app called Seesaw. Some of you with older children will be use to this system of seeing your children’s work already. It is a private way for your child to digitally share their work with you and you can comment on it. We are working on it at the moment in Room 5 and our big buddy class will be helping us to get up and running. We will still have the blog for class sharing. Seesaw is a lovely way to be personally connected with your child’s learning throughout the year.
