If I Was Prime Minister For The Day…

Because we will be in full rehearsal mode next week getting ready for our school assembly hosting duties – I thought we will need some fun treats to keep us laughing. For writing next week we will try something a bit different. “If I was Prime Minister for the day” – we will do some fun projects pondering this question.  I can’t wait to hear some of the suggestions!

..and for those who would rather be a king or queen for a day…

Family of Facts In Maths

Going over family of facts at home is a great way to reinforce basic facts learning.  It is a little tricky at first but once the children understand the relationships between the numbers and adding and subtraction it really helps accelerate their number knowledge and connections.

We Have News…Introducing Katie

I told the children today that we are adoping a 9 year old golden retriever in the holidays called Katie.  Katie is in need of a forever family home.  We were planning to get a puppy but after hearing about Katie, we decided Katie needs us.  We have totally fallen in love with her – she is a real sweetheart!  We wanted to get a golden retriever.  Milo was an English Springer Spaniel and we decided we couldn’t get another dog that looks like Milo as he is irreplaceable.  We can’t wait to show you pictures of Katie in our family.  While the girls are in Fiji during the holidays with their Dad, I will settle Katie into our house over the two weeks.  Fingers crossed she will get along with our 19 year old cat called Moby!

Free Writing Thursday

On Thursdays we can write about whatever we like.  We love ‘free writing Thursdays’.  Most of us wrote about the school pyjama day tomorrow and what pyjamas we are going to wear.  Mrs Brown loves her pyjamas so can’t wait!!!!
