I am a little biased but I just love Georgia’s photography which is going into the Epsom Girls Grammar art exhibition. The creative subjects available at EGGS are amazing!

Maths Sharing From Room 4 to Room 5 – Doubles Learning
Room 4 shared their maths learning with us at the end of the day – they even made us maths worksheets showing their doubles equations. Thanks Room 4.

Getting Some Art Ready For School Assembly Hosting
Super Jess is working with small groups to get some art ready for the stage background for our assembly hosting at the end of the term.

Puppy Albie Came To Visit School Today
One of our reliever teachers Mrs Busch has a little puppy called Albie. Albie came to visit school today. I think I am in love! We miss Milo so much and would love to get another dog in our family soon.
We Used Seesaw To Share Our Writing Today

We are getting really good at using Seesaw now. We hope you all enjoyed receiving updates on our writing today. The children practised sharing it with you themselves.

Te Kanawa House Day on Friday
Te Kanawa House (red) was the winning house at assembly for points last week. Our prize was having a Te Kanawa day (wear red to school) this Friday. All children in the Te Kanawa House get to come to school wearing red. I am in Te Kanawa House so I will be coming to school wearing red also. We have a new system at school celebrating our different house wins each fortnight now, not just one big celebration for the winning house (going to the movies) at the end of the year. If you have forgotten which house your child is in please just ask, (or it is written on the whiteboard above my teacher chair).

Homework Taking Over The House AGAIN
Up in the intermediates they are making World War 2 time capsules and Olivia’s has taken over the kitchen table along with her speech writing. We were just recovering from the science board experiments which took over the lounge, kitchen and Olivia’s bedroom! August always brings speech writing stress from year 4 upwards – all schools do an internal competition to see who goes through to the interschool tournaments. You have lots to look forward to! Olivia’s speech this year is on gun laws.

Ms Ali’s Daughter Mila Turned Two
Ms Ali, (our room 5 reliever when I do my transitioning children to school work) , is incredibly creative and stylish. Ms Ali’s youngest child, daughter Mila, turned 2 and I thought you might enjoy a few pictures from her party. Ms Ali should be a stylist BUT with the shortage of teachers we won’t tell her that.
