Paddington Bear Is Back

Poor Scarlett has been unwell this week so Paddington Bear had an extended stay at her home.  Welcome back to both of you!!  I also want to say a HUGE thank you to Scarlett’s Mum Cedar who spends every morning putting away our reading books in the blue bucket.  As we read every day it means close to 100 books every week! Thank you so much Cedar that is such a huge help to me and saves me so much time.  Really really appreciated!

Diplomat Sebastian

Sebastian got a Principal Certificate today for being amazing in the playground.  Sebastian has a really diplomatic way of supporting other children when they need help resolving problems.  He has great people skills and has a lovely natural ability to bring people together.  So so proud of you Sebastian. You are our Room 5 Diplomat.

Oh La La Early Bastille Day Breakfast In The Intermediate

We had a lovely French breakfast in the intermediate for Madam Palmer who officially leaves her teaching role today to be our new full time deputy principal.  Madam Palmer speaks French and teaches French in the intermediate, (and still will) so it was a great way to say thank you.

Well Done Nadia

Congratulations Nadia for passing your first taekwando grading and moving up to a yellow stripe belt.  Wow you had to break the board with a punch.  We know Vanessa and Julian are in the same class. That is so cool.  Well done.

Free Writing Day

Thursdays are special because we get out the free writing prompt cards and we are allowed to write about anything we want.

In year 1 the children have all been here for such different amounts of time.  Some children have only just arrived so we are helping them to get started with their writing.  Other children are well on their way and have goals such as editing work, adding wow words and writing 3 or more sentences by themselves.

Alexandra had sooooo many wow words today it was amazing!!!!!
