Happy little faces is what we want at lunchtime. I am spending a bit of extra time out in the playground supporting different groups to get in the swing of things. So gorgeous to see our little people happy!

Kohia Terrace School. Year 1. The life of 5 year olds. We want to invite parents and family into our classroom. Come and watch our adventures and learn about what we are learning. So when the children come home and you ask, "What did you do today?", the children will never be able to say, "nothing" ever again…our days are busy and learning constant. We love sharing our special first year of school life with you.

The children had a science lesson today with our science teacher Ms Bowden. They did some learning on our senses.

Wow looks like Paddington Bear had a great weekend with Jake. Well done for getting the player of the day cup in ripper rugby!

Hope you all had a gorgeous mother’s day! I had a yummy breakfast and cup of tea made for me, and then we got to enjoy a lovely lunch out. Happy mother’s day everyone, hope you got to feel very loved.

Enjoy your Mother’s Day treasure – you deserve it! Mums are special.

Mums are the best! We hope you enjoy the treasures that are coming home today to help you celebrate on Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day!! We have been working hard all week for you. There are four special pieces that your little person will bring home after school. If you would like to share any photos from your Sunday celebrations email to me and I will pop on the blog. The girls and I are going out for lunch with my Mum and Dad to Little Jimmys. Can’t wait. Happy mother’s day.

Mrs Brown has new glasses! Thank goodness Room 5 were really kind and said they liked them. Olivia is not a fan.

Finn and his lovely Mum and Dad have made a solar system at home!!! How cool is that? Finn has it in his room now. Well done Finn – that deserves a certificate!!!! Our Room 5 Space Expert!!!

Eloise shared her Bear Bear with us! Well done Eloise. We loved meeting Bear Bear. Mrs Brown is bringing her childhood teddy in next week – called Dribble.

We all had house meetings today after assembly. At school we have four houses (like clubs) – Te Kanawa (red), Hillary (blue), Snell (green) and Sheppard (yellow). All the children are put into a house when they start school and they stay in that house until they leave. We do sports and competitions throughout the year in our houses. Today we had a meeting in our different houses. Quite exciting for our little people and the bigger children are great at looking after us during the meetings.
