Hope you are all enjoying some well deserved rest from the busy school routine.  We are enjoying the holidays – so far we have had a family wedding, a trip to Hobbiton, many playdates, movies and Georgia turned 15.

Teacher Brown has started the holidays with teacher juice and some beautiful Korean desert, (my favourite),  thank you Taehyun.  If you have any photos of holiday adventures you would like to share on our blog, you can email them to me.  Happy holidays everyone.

Thank you for an amazing term.  The parent community in Room 5 is really special. It really is a privilege to be part of your child’s life as they first start to navigate the big new world of school – it is a really special time and I love being part of it.  Your children have done so well, I could not be prouder.  We have done so much over the last 11 weeks and your children deserve a big holiday.  I hope you all get to spend some time together.  Have a safe and happy holiday.  I look forward to seeing all the little faces and hearing all your news in two weeks.  We also can look forward to welcoming Jake, Gabriel and Vincent into Room 5.  Happy holidays everyone and thank you for being amazing.

AND….thank you for all your support, kind words, emails, feijoas, baking, little notes and quite often our lovely before and after school chats.  Thank you.

How exciting!!  Next term we will be learning lots about space – planets, the moon, the sun, rockets and so much more.  We will be having a trip to The Stardome also.  So exciting.  Some of you might want to start looking at books on the topic over the holidays.

Do you like our Autumn trees?

We wanted to give Taehyun a warm send off to his new school.  We have loved having you in Room 5, (and Room 3).  Taehyun we will miss you but excited for your new adventure in Hamilton.  If you are ever back in Auckland – pop in and see us.  Lots of love.

So gorgeous seeing everyone in their ‘home clothes’.  We even had a My Little Pony unicorn outfit!!!!  LOVE!  We are also making sure Taehyun has the happiest of happy days.  He and his best best best buddies William and Tristan, who Taehyun spends most of his time with, are Super Stars today to help celebrate.  We will miss you Taehyun but know you will be amazing at your new school in Hamilton.

The gold coin donation is going towards the Tongan School the year 6’s last year visited for their leadership trip. It was badly damaged in the cyclones a few months ago and needing lots of help to reopen to get the children back at school.

We are so lucky we have so many feijoas in our house thanks to lovely families with feijoa trees!  We LOVE feijoas in our house and we are in Heaven.
