Swimming Superstars

We enjoyed our last swimming lesson today.  Thank you so so so much to all our wonderful parent helpers and grandparent helpers.  We couldn’t do this with out you.  Thank you!

Secret Project

Jake’s older sister Talia wants to be a teacher so we put her to work!  Talia helped make a secret good bye card for Taehyun which we will give to him on Friday. Thank you Talia!

Introducing Jake and Vincent

Jake’s gorgeous older sister Talia had her school closed today also with the storm, so she came in with Jake for his final school visit.  We had a fun time but it was a bit strange with most of the class not here!  Great to see Vincent again also.  We can’t wait until you boys start next term.  You will love school and love Room 5.

Trees Down BUT All Safe Now

Those children that did come to school today got to watch lots of tree removal activity.  All our trees do get checked regularly for safety.  We did lose a big one in the storm last night but thankfully it didn’t cause any damage to the school.

Thursday….

Gosh hope all your homes are OK after the terrible storm.  The baking sale will be tomorrow now. Please bring $2 if you would like to buy a healthy snack from the year 4’s fundraiser for Child Cancer. We also have swimming tomorrow so please remember to bring your gear.  So keep calm we will be merging our planned Wednesday day into our Thursday at school so we don’t miss out on anything. Fingers crossed the storm has gone and Auckland will be back to normal.

Cosmic Kids Yoga

We just have a few days left of term to celebrate our topic Wellbeing.  We did some yoga as this excercise is great for our bodies and breathing.  Namaste. Next term we will be studying space and planets!!  Exciting.  We will be visiting Stardome.

Mathletics

Great to see half the class using Mathletics!  Well done!  If you haven’t had a look yet, the holidays might be a great opportunity to log in online.

Library Day

Room 5 love going to the library!  We need to choose carefully today because these books need to last all of the holidays as well!  Lovely Mrs Chisholm took the children today while Mrs Brown did teacher jobs.

I am talking tomorrow night at ANI about our Central Auckland transitioning children to school work that I do along side Principal Alison and Head Teacher of Gardner Road Kindergarten, Gaylene Brownlie.  There have been lots of smiles today with Mrs Chisholm as I have been popping in and out of little Room 5.
