A Miracle…

It didn’t rain at lunchtime!  Isn’t that  a miracle.  It started raining straight after the bell rang and as we were getting ready for library.   Yay!  Happy Monday.

Hope You All Got Your Ice Blocks OK

Hope you all managed to get your ice blocks OK.  When we had Milo, he use to hear the Mr Whippy van music and rush outside, and along with the girls he use to have a Mr Whippy one scoop soft serve order and was a very happy pooch. Have a gorgeous weekend everyone.  See you Monday.

Buddy Time

Our big buddies from Room 12, (year 5),  came this afternoon and helped us with some ‘word search’ activities.  We did one by ourselves a few weeks ago but found it a bit tricky so was good to learn some tips from our big friends.

Wednesday Healthy Bake Sale Fundraiser

It was lovely to see Blake from year 4 pop in to Room 5 today, (I taught Blake when he was in year 1).  The year 4’s are having a fundraiser on Wednesday – a healthy bake sale to raise money for child cancer.  If you would like your child to buy something on Wednesday, please give me a gold coin Wednesday morning and we will go over to the top courts at 2.30 when it is happening.  They are baking healthy things like muesli slices and fruit sticks.

Everything will be $2.  After Blake visited us, Nicole and Lucy popped in also with more information, (I taught these beautiful ladies when they first started school too).  Can’t wait to support the year 4’s on Wednesday with their fundraiser for Child Cancer.

Smile

Our secret assignment today is to smile lots.  Don’t you love people who smile lots?  We were talking about how nice it is – it is easier to approach people who are smiley and they make us feel warm and happy. A natural smile is something we talked about too hee hee hee.  Isn’t Eloise’s smile beautiful!

Things to Come…

This is Olivia busy making a pencil holder in hard tech this afternoon.  Things to come for our room 5 little people.  It is always exciting to see all the wonderful things happening around the school from robotics, printing on our 3D printer, science experiments, art projects and of course all the wonderful writing, reading, maths and watching sporting achievements.  Lots of exciting adventures ahead for our Room 5 children!

Olivia tried surfing on the year 6 camp last year.  She loved it so much she saved for 6 months to buy her own surf board and has now taken up the hobby.  The camps the children go on at Kohia Terrace are amazing – they start in year 4 with a sleep over in the hall and build up each year after that with bigger and longer experiences.
