Kitchen Duty At School – My Week Is Here This Term

We all take turns on kitchen duty at school each term.  When it is our week we need to make sure the staffroom is tidy, empty the dishwasher (many times a day) and wash the tea towels.  We also provide morning tea on one morning that week.  Lucky for me I have Olivia and her friend Stacey doing all the baking!  They are making a brownie, a strawberry cake and mini vanilla cupcakes. #mumswhodelegate #whenchildrenbecomeuseful

Tristan Is Back At The Mountain

So lovely to see Tristan and his family back down at the mountain and enjoying the snow!  We have lots of snow loving families in Room 5.  Meanwhile in our little house, after our Friday night and all day Saturday sports marathon, we are finally enjoying Sunday ‘sloth day’.  Our goal this term is to get some more creative projects happening in our house like ‘the old days’.  My knitting has come out, I am working on a ‘Rachel Castle’ inspired artwork/craft work and Georgia and I are working on a writing project together.  Exciting.  How is your weekend going?

Georgia and my writing project involves borrowing a labradore dog so we are super excited!

Olivia scored two goals at soccer on Saturday in the glorious sun for her rep Eastern Suburbs football team which was exciting, (she plays in a rep team and a club team) plus waterpolo, plus netball – busy busy. Georgia plays netball for Epsom Girls Grammar and coaches a KTS year 5 team.

Have A Fab Weekend Everyone

Quote of the day came from Eloise.  Our toy cafe toaster got stuck and didn’t work properly.  This little lady said to everyone, “Don’t worry my Dad is an engineer he will fix it for us!”  Have a gorgeous weekend everyone.  See you Monday!

Crab Publishing

We published our crab facts today.  They will be up in the classroom next week.  They look great.  We spent a bit of time looking at what a crab looks like so we could do a fab job with our pictures.

Dance Fever

For sport today we had a dance party. The hall was being used for the big MATHEX competition the senior school are involved in. The field was really wet.  We had the best time!

Did You Know?

Last night we had our staff first aid training course.  All teachers have first aid certificates at this school.  We have more and more children with different medical needs so we are lucky to have this regular training.

Ms Ali Is In Room 5 Today

Beautiful Ms Ali is in Room 5 today.  She will be starting another art project with our class.  We are so lucky – she is one of the best art teachers I know!  The beautiful space art Ms Ali did with the children can go home anytime now.  I will give it directly to parents so it doesn’t get damaged, so feel free to take it home next time you are in Room 5.
