This is an example of the type of maths questions we have been answering as a class together.  Working it out using team work.  Writing our answers on the answer sheet and posting in the competition box.  We also have been working our way through the ‘guess my number’ challenge – we get a new clue each day until we narrow our guess down to a final answer.  We have to post our answers for that challenge in the competition box too.  The Maths Ninja and Maths Fairy will be making final appearances today also.  Maths Week is lots of fun!

One of the biggest reasons I love being a teacher is the children!  Children are so precious and the love and fun we share each day while going about our learning is really an honour.  I really do feel very lucky to have such precious little people in Room 5 starting their schooling journey with me.

The children are doing so well with their reading.  The school has just subscribed to Reading Eggs for all the junior children, (years 1 to 3).  Reading Eggs actually goes up to a senior school level, (year 8) so there is lots of learning on there for all the children.  Log-ins and passwords will come home tonight. If you have any questions, please just ask.  Reading Eggs is an amazing resource, we will use it in class and please feel welcome to use it at home if you wish.

Whenever Mrs Brown is on duty these two are always at my side.  So sweet.  Such great little teacher helpers.  As we patrolled through the office we saw Finn’s published writing in the school newsletter on the wall!  Yay!

We did some brainstorming about crabs today after watching a clip to learn some facts. We than had a bit of a ‘craftinoon’ and made some paper crabs.
