Have A Lovely Weekend

Have a lovely weekend everyone.  Olivia has her last waterpolo game tonight.  Georgia has her last netball game tomorrow.  We are so close to getting some quieter weekends!  Life has been a bit too busy in our little household lately. Olivia is away in Tauranga for her soccer tournament and Georgia and I are planning to go to the movies.  Georgia is doing a ‘dogs of Epsom’ photography series for Epsom Girls Grammar which is just beautiful so she will be doing a bit more of that project on Sunday.  Georgia does lots and lots of babysitting also so that means I will get a few quiet evenings this weekend.  Have a lovely weekend everyone, hope you have some nice plans.

Independent Whale Project

Two of our little literacy groups have been working on a whale project. They are learning research skills, how to find information, how to record information and then how to display information.  They went and shared their work with Alison today. Pretty clever! They even got a principal sticker to wear each!

Junior Hui

For our year 1 junior hui we shared our statistics chart we did in maths and our whale project.  We then all made ‘baby shark’ song characters.

Awwwwwww

Look at this for a LOVELY parenting moment. I came back to  the classroom after my morning staff meeting to find this from Olivia, (we call her Lou Lou).  She had gone and got me a latte from across the road….awwwww….isn’t it lovely when your children do something really thoughtful. #happymumma

Shapes Shapes Shapes

Eloise’s Dad Tim has made us some amazing shapes for the classroom (and school) using his laser cutter. They are amazing!  We loved learning our tricky shapes so we thought we might share some of this learning at our hosting assembly in a few weeks.  Very exciting!
