We shared our crab writing and pictures in the junior hui in room 3. We then started some fishy art!
Kohia Terrace School. Year 1. The life of 5 year olds. We want to invite parents and family into our classroom. Come and watch our adventures and learn about what we are learning. So when the children come home and you ask, "What did you do today?", the children will never be able to say, "nothing" ever again…our days are busy and learning constant. We love sharing our special first year of school life with you.

Most of the children in room 5 are actually in the Shepherd House/group (yellow) so it was nice to see a little splash of red today.
Olivia is off to the intermediate netball zones all day today so sadly misses out on Te Kanawa Day – team red. I am all ready to celebrate with my TK house though. It will be a fun Friday for everyone in Room 5.
We do lots and lots of word work in Room 5.
We have bronze, silver and gold library awards. If you read 20 chapter books from a certain area of the library you get a bronze award. You do need to talk to our librarian Jane to get underway. It is so exciting!
TK won the most house points at the last assembly so we get a house treat which is dressing up in red tomorrow. The other houses will get a treat day too – there are a few rewards to win. The house system is a reward system used through out the school.
I am a little biased but I just love Georgia’s photography which is going into the Epsom Girls Grammar art exhibition. The creative subjects available at EGGS are amazing!
