Smile Just Two Weeks To Go

Hang in there everyone.  Just two weeks to go before you all get a break from the school routine.  Hope you are all able to take some time yourselves to have a rest from juggling it all.

Sporty Weekend

Thankfully my little village helped out this weekend as I was feeling under the weather while the girls had a HUGE amount of sport on with all day tournaments in netball and soccer plus our normal waterpolo commitments. Arghhhhh!  Thank you village.  Olivia did particularly well, winning player of the tournament in soccer!  Very proud.

Olivia was the only girl in the waterpolo team on Friday – crikey, I know it is a modern world but I really really wanted another girl in the water with her.  She held her own though!  #girlpower.

AND there was the odd moment of relaxing thankfully.  Surprised Georgia and Olivia aren’t completely wiped out.  An epic weekend of sport.

Buddy Time

Our buddys came and helped us get some of our work loaded on our new class Seesaw app.  We will be sharing this with you next term once we get the hang of it in Room 5.

Skipping For Sport

It was so lovely skipping in the sun today.  We set up skipping stations and did different skipping games.  It was so much fun.  We discovered Jake and Phoebe were great at skipping!!

Term 3 Assembly Song

Our fellow year 1 class, Room 4 hosted the school assembly today.  They had a space theme and it was gorgeous!  Our theme will be ‘under the water’ as this is our term 3 topic.  You are welcome to start thinking about mermaid, fish, shark, underwater type costumes for the assembly.  As well as the infamous song ‘Baby Shark’, (still pondering options but it might be a dance contender), we will be doing this beautiful ‘sign, sing and smile’ song which is the clip for you to watch above.  I know many of you are practising at home already.  We will be in full assembly prep mode next term but it is always good to be super organised.

Special Students

I just wanted to acknowledge these two Room 5 super stars as they had to wait a really long time for their school certificates.  It is no reflection on how deserving they are!  Well done Finn and Alexandra who never once asked when their turn was and every fortnight congratulated the other students.  I am so proud of you. You are both very special students to Room 5.
