Well Done Gabriel

Gabriel got a special certificate today for achieving a personal goal.  I know it was a tough one for you to tackle but you did it!  I am so proud of you Gabriel!

Special Delivery

We chose some special delivery agents to deliver our thank you book to Ben Watkins up in the senior school – his family gave us lots of treasures for the classroom.  These children were extra sparkly today with behaviour so were chosen for the delivery mission with Jess.

Thank You Book for Watkins Family

We did a double dose of writing today.  First we rewrote our sentences from yesterday and added in wow words.  Then we made a thank you book for the Watkins family who donated lots of fabulous new treasures to our classroom.  All the children wrote sentences in the thank you book.

New Kete Cards AND It Was Head Boy Connor On Coach Duty Today

Our head boy Connor was on duty with me today at morning tea.  He did a great job refereeing the year 3 boys soccer game which needed some diplomatic handling when one team had more players than the other!

Mrs Brown was on duty at morning tea time and gave out our new kete cards which we have started this term.  Alexandra and Eloise were spotted being so kind to Juliette in Room 4 so got to put their reward cards in the Koru kete bag.  If they get their name drawn out at assembly they will get a prize and they will get lots of house points.

So Impressed!

I am so impressed with everyone’s beanstalks!  It was clearly the right decision to send them home for the holidays.  I do not have ‘green fingers’ as they say – my poor mother keeps buying me lovely plants in the hope I will actually look after them but alas they never live.  Thank you for your efforts with the beanstalks.  I was chatting to one of our parents about how impressed I am and mentioned at least we don’t have a classroom pet that needs to go home every weekend.  In Wellington, Olivia’s kindy had a pet RAT and we were suppose to take turns in the weekend taking it home. The rat was called Anakin Skywalker.  It was a traumatic weekend for us when it was our turn!!!!  I LOVE animals and have had dogs, many cats (and was brought up on a farm) but I do NOT cope with rats.   Beanstalks are much better!
